The following lesson uses a well-known math website, Desmos, to introduce the topic of translations and reflections with equations on a graph. This lesson includes sample problems on Desmos and an interactive worksheet that follows along. Desmos was a great tool to use for this lesson because I was able to use different color graphs, turn lines on and off and help the students visualize how the translation or reflection effected the equation on the graph. This lesson also covers how translations and reflections effect writing the equation as well. Below is a sample of the Desmos problems that were covered and also the worksheet included in the lesson.
